Players will use chess clocks set to 15 minutes for each player for a total of 30 minute game. If a player runs out of time, he or she will lose the match.
In the case of a draw, points will be awarded for captured pieces.
After the first round, a coin toss will determine black and white positions.
Spectators are expected to not distract players and keep talking to a quiet whisper. They should not offer advice to players. Spectators may be removed at the request of a player or tournament organizer.
Traditionally there will be a $30/$20/$10/$5 prize for the top players in the tournament. There is no cost to enter the tournaments. Funds come from the raffle.
